Announcing the latest release from Groundwork Coffee's "Brewers' Series" collaborations: Reverend Nat's "Electric Red" Groundwork Coffee Sour Cherry Cider featuring Groundwork's organic "Bitches Brew" signature blend coffee, launching at the Reverend Nat's Hard Cider Tasting Room on Thursday, May 31st!

As Groundwork has done with their previous "Brewers' Series" releases,

The name "Electric Red" describes the color of this vibrant sour cherry cider, and is also a reference to aging the cider on Groundwork's "Bitches Brew" signature blend coffee. Groundwork's Bitches Brew is named after American jazz musician Miles Davis' Grammy Award-winning record - one of jazz's greatest albums and a progenitor of the jazz rock genre - where Davis broke boundaries of jazz by featuring several electric instruments.

"Electric Red" Tasting Notes: Nice deep palate. Enticing and assertive aromas of dark chocolate, cherry, and coffee roast smokiness, subtle caramel notes. A tart granny-apple base blended with copious amounts of sweet and tart cherry juices, aged on Bitches Brew ground coffee...imagine a semi-sweet dark chocolate-cherry cake, drizzled with a dark-roasted coffee finishing glaze, ending with a kick of ghost-chili spice surprise to round out the profile.

"Electric Red" is the third collaboration release in the Groundwork "Brewers' Series". Every collaboration beverage features a different Groundwork coffee roast chosen personally by a brewer, then brewed into a unique style that's not typically combined with coffee. The first collaboration of the series was a Coffee and Cream Ale made by Stormbreaker Brewing called"MOCABE Lo Sabe" featuring Groundwork single origin coffee from Mexico's MOCABE Organic Farmer Co-Op, and the second was a "Wau, Nessie!" Coffee Wee Heavy Ale by Burnside Brewing featuring Groundwork's single origin Papua New Guinea roast from the Wau Co-Op.
