About Number 6 Cider
In 1867, railway tunnel number 6 was gouged straight though the Sierra Nevada Mountains by courageous men with hand picks, dynamite, willpower and a startling disregard for safety. Number Sixth on Elliot Avenue in Seattle’s Interbay, next to the was the most deadly and ambitious railway tunnel ever built, and a symbolic reminder that with great toil comes great progress.
Just as Tunnel 6 connected east to west like no other, we honor that connection at our rail-side cidery and taproom. Come taste our flagship True Cider and crafted seasonal releases alongside the Puget Sound railway. Raise a cold glass with us in tribute to Number 6 and all that it reminds us of. Onward!
