This Thursday, prior to the Fourth of July weekend, the fine folks at Capitol Cider are celebrating barrel-aged fermentables. Starting at 4pm and under the supervision of manager Jonathan Chambers, the event will showcase barrel-aged ciders and a select number of barrel-aged beers.
Additional details include 2, Capitol Cider-exclusive, ciders from Schilling and Rev. Nat’s. Be on the look out for “… a 21% Schilling offering served in a wine glass … and a Rev. Nat’s whiskey sour, 6.9%, made with Meyer lemon and makrut lime aged in a bourbon barrel.”
Below is a preliminary list of the beers and ciders that will be served starting Thursday. Word from Capitol Cider is the list is not static, with many of the offerings estimated disappearing after Saturday “Barrel-aged Brunch”.
